Project INERRAnT Plus – Workshop “Innovative trends and tools for digital transformation” – 30 March 2023

The Workshop “Innovative trends and tools for digital transformation” aims at capitalizing results achieved in INERRAnT Project, by exhibiting and promoting innovation activities, new approaches and best practices developed in different sectors by public and private entities belonging to the Dhitech Ecosystem, with the aim of encouraging the exchange of knowledge and skills as well as facilitating the meeting of the Italian realities with Albanian and Montenegrin companies, universities, institutions and research centers.

Projects n. 303 “INERRAnT” (INterregional Ecosystem for entRepreneurship, ReseArch and Technology) and n. 560 “INERRAnT plus” are co-financed by the European Union under the Instrument for Pre-Accession Assistance (IPA II) with the aim of creating an Interregional Innovation Ecosystem Public-Private between Italy, Albania and Montenegro able to foster dialogue between different territories, enhance collaborative research actions, supporting talents mobility and strengthen the capacity of attracting private capitals.

General Manager of Dhitech Scarl where she has worked since its establishment in 2007 contributing to its growth and development. She is a chartered accountant and auditor and, after the degree in Economics and the Master in Business Administration, she specialized in auditing at a multinational consulting company. She worked for both private and public institutions developing a deep knowledge of their procedures and processes. She has gained a significant experience in project management methodologies, technology transfer and coordination of large complex scientific research projects (technological innovation) and training projects, co-financed by international or national funds.

Dr. Tiziana Valerio

He has been working at Dhitech since 2012, where he deals with planning, coordination, technical-economic management, monitoring, control, reporting of complex innovation projects, funded by the European, National and Regional programs. Ing. Nicola Sicilia

Nicola Sicilia is a Management Engineer and Portfolio Manager at Dhitech Scarl. He graduated with honors from the University of Calabria in 2004 and obtained in 2006 a II level Master in Business Innovation Leadership at the University of Salento, where he started working as Research Collaborator in the same year. He has been working at Dhitech since 2012, where he deals with planning, coordination, technical-economic management, monitoring, control, reporting of complex innovation projects, funded by the European, National and Regional programs. He is the author of 2 scientific publications.
Andrea Aloisio received his Master's degree cum laude in Geopolitical and International Studies from the University of Salento in 2021.
After completing a university internship at the Euro-Mediterranean Center on Climate Change (CMCC) Foundation and a period of work placement in the financial and insurance field, he started working at Dhitech as Project Support Officer in 2022, to take care of planning, execution and accountability of the project portfolio.
He is also involved in the “Salento Biomedical District” project as Junior Operations Officer, to support management activities and develop partner relationships, besides supervising communication and dissemination activities and dealing with events planning.

After completing a university internship at the Euro-Mediterranean Center on Climate Change (CMCC) Foundation and a period of work placement in the financial and insurance field, he started working at Dhitech as Project Support Officer in 2022, to take care of planning, execution and accountability of the project portfolio. He is also involved in the “Salento Biomedical District” project as Junior Operations Officer, to support management activities and develop partner relationships, besides supervising communication and dissemination activities and dealing with events planning.

In 2007 she received her PhD in Management of the Environment and Local Resources at the University of Salento and she graduated in Economics and Commerce at the University of Lecce in 2003. Since 2004 he has worked at the University of Salento and local governments carrying out teaching and research activities on the subject of territorial development policies, organization and governance in the public and private sector, training models and job orientation. Since 2022 he has been working at Dhitech Scarl and is engaged in the implementation of the activities of the Dhitech Innovation Projects. In particular, she deals with the implementation, management, coordination, monitoring and reporting of project activities. Federica Stella Blasi is Lecturer of Economics of Sustainable Agri-food Systems, and PhD student in Economics and Management of Sustainability and Innovation at LUM University. Ing. Danilo Martino

Team & Technical Leader – Business and Application Consultant – Unit Research and Development at EKA S.r.l. Graduated as Computer Engineering at the University of Bologna, in 2014, among other things, he obtained the Certification “Business Process Application Development – BonitaSoft” and “Advanced Integration – BonitaSoft”. His main competences come out from activities, such as: Business Process and Project Management, Business Application Consultant, Technical leader, Solution Architect & Developer. He was Project Manager in all EKA’s R&D projects, and as manager of the activities he has dealt with the definition of the innovative method of knowledge management and implementation of Robotic Process Automation logics; process modeling, implementation and execution; validation and final integrated assessment of the project. He also took part in several other activities and projects as Business and Application Consultant. He also obtained the Certification “Business Processes: Modeling, Simulation, Execution” issued by Hasso Plattner Institut, on July 2019.

Ing. Francesco Annese

Francesco Annese is the R&D Manager of a group dedicated to research and development of centrifugal pumps and control valves for Baker Hughes in Bari. He started in R&D department of Baker Hughes in 2005 and since then he has held several positions in research, development, and (product) engineering. Mr Annese received M.S degree in Mechanical Engineer from Politecnico di Bari.
Associate professor in Business and Management Engineering at Politecnico di Bari (Italy), where she teaches Business Process Management and Principles of Engineering Economics and Organization.

Prof. Gianluca Elia

Gianluca Elia is Associate Professor in Management Engineering at the University of Salento (Italy) and Senior Researcher of the Management Science & Engineering Laboratory. His research is characterized by an interdisciplinary approach and focuses on Digital Transformation, Digital Entrepreneurship, Open Innovation, Collective Intelligence, Project Management. On these topics, he published more than 160 papers on international journals and conference proceedings. He also co-authored five books. He is Associate Editor of the “Computer Applications in Engineering Education” (Wiley), and “International Journal of Knowledge and Learning” (Inderscience). He also acts as reviewer in international journals and conferences, and is member of the Editorial Board of IEEE Transactions on Engineering Management and International Journal of Innovation and Technology Management. In 2014 he was co-founder of the TIE Living Lab (Technology Innovation Ecosystem Living Lab), which is part of the ENoLL (European Network of Living Lab). In 2014 he was a visiting researcher at Peking University in Beijing (China), and in 2014-2015 he was research affiliate at Centre for Collective Intelligence of the MIT in Boston (USA).

Ing. Claudio Pascarelli

Claudio Pascarelli is a mechanical engineer, graduated with honours from the University of Salento (Lecce, Italy) in 2009. At the beginning of its career he started working at the University of Salento, Department of Innovation Engineering, and as freelance engineer in the construction industry dealing with technological plants design. From 2013 to 2015 he participated in a higher education project, in the aerospace supply chain and related PLM technologies, organized by DHITECH. In 2015 he entered the CORE Lab of the Department of Innovation Engineering of the University of Salento, dealing with digital transformation R&D project in the manufacturing industry. Since 2019, within the Cyber Physical Systems (CPS) Lab he works as research team coordinator and he is currently working as a technical research associate at the National Interuniversity Consortium for Information Technology (CINI).

Ing. Giampaolo Pascali

Giampaolo PASCALI is a Senior Researcher of the Open Public Service Innovation Unit of the of R&D Office at Engineering Ingegneria Informatica since 2017. He graduated with honours in Computer Engineering from the University of Salento in 2006. He is involved in the technical design of software for European and Italian projects regarding topics like Open Government, Smart Cities, Water, IoT, Data Visualization, Open Innovation. His experience cover technologies such as Distributed Ledger Technologies, Blockchains and Decentralized networks, IoT. His research interests mainly focus on process innovation, systems integration, open innovation, and new models of user-service interaction.
Fabrizio Mariano received his PhD in Interdisciplinary Science and Technology in 2011 from the Università del Salento.
His research activity at the CNR - National Nanotechnology Laboratory, was mainly focused on the study and fabrication of electroluminescent organic diodes, for applications in the automotive and lighting industry.
In particular, his interests concerned the optical and electrical analysis of organic and organic/inorganic hybrid materials and their integration into electroluminescent diodes, the engineering of Organic Light-Emitting Diodes (OLEDs) architectures and the study of innovative technologies with the aim of maximizing the efficiency of the luminous devices.
He is currently involved in the ECOTEC project (Intelligent, eco-friendly fibres and fabrics for technical clothing and high fashion - Joint-Lab Klopman International srl – CNR NANOTEC) dealing with the integration of optoelectronic devices, in particular flexible OLEDs, into technical textiles for workers active protection.

Dr. Francesco Manta

Francesco Manta (PhD) is a Research Fellow at University of Salento. His main topics of research regard business model innovation, digital finance, and stakeholder management. Manta has co-authored many articles published in international, peer reviewed journals. He is guest editor and reviewer for international peer-reviewed journals. He also took part to national and international conferences on resources management. He works on different national and international funded projects on themes of sustainability and innovation. He cooperated with the Foreign Affairs Committee of the Italian Chamber of Deputies on sustainability and innovation issues.
Since 2008 he works for Deep Blue as Human Factors and User Experience expert and he leads the Innovative Human Factors Area.. His working activities range from research to consultancy and training. He was involved in several EU co-funded projects as project coordinator, company project-manager and dissemination manager. Over the years he specialised in operational requirements definition, Human Machine Interfaces assessment and design, expert interface evaluation, validation with end-users, dissemination of research results.
He developed a deep expertise in different domains (aviation, both in the Air Traffic Management and cockpit design sectors, Institutional communication, Healthcare, Consumer market, Enterprise software) working with partners and clients from all over Europe  such as European Commission, THALES, EUROCONTROL, World Food Programme (UN), Università la Sapienza, Tetrapak, Trinity College, MIUR, Leonardo, NLR - Netherlands Aerospace Centre, Airbus, DLR, Città di Lucca.

Dr. Stefano Bonelli

Since 2008 he works for Deep Blue as Human Factors and User Experience expert and he leads the Innovative Human Factors Area.. His working activities range from research to consultancy and training. He was involved in several EU co-funded projects as project coordinator, company project-manager and dissemination manager. Over the years he specialised in operational requirements definition, Human Machine Interfaces assessment and design, expert interface evaluation, validation with end-users, dissemination of research results. He developed a deep expertise in different domains (aviation, both in the Air Traffic Management and cockpit design sectors, Institutional communication, Healthcare, Consumer market, Enterprise software) working with partners and clients from all over Europe such as European Commission, THALES, EUROCONTROL, World Food Programme (UN), Università la Sapienza, Tetrapak, Trinity College, MIUR, Leonardo, NLR – Netherlands Aerospace Centre, Airbus, DLR, Città di Lucca. When he moved back to Lecce, he also contributed to research activities related to multimedia data streaming. He published and coauthored several papers on principal journals of engineering and conferences and was granted several patents on networking and video streaming technologies. Since 2010 he has been involved in research in the Internet-of-Things area and he is in charge of managing a team in Lecce working on IoT solutions.
